6.3 Function of the SiFlux system The SiFlux systems are fitted with in-line pumps as standard. The
pumps maintain the pressure difference between suction and dis-
charge manifold.
In this purpose they are switched on and off or controlled depending
on the pressure difference. The sensor continuously measures the
actual differential pressure value, converts it into a current signal and
transmits it to the switchgear.
Depending on demand and type of control system, the switchgear
starts, alternates or stops the pumps and changes the speed of rota-
tion of one or several pumps until the preset control parameters are
reached (a more precise description of the type of control system and
the control process is mentioned in the Installation and operating
instructions of the switchgear).
