7. Maintenance and cleaning
CAUTION!
Physical injuries and damage to property and the environment
If the EMICOgauge has already been commissioned, before maintenance
and cleaning, make sure that there is no pressure at the product and no
risk of burns. See chapter 8.1 “Dismounting the EMICOgauge instrument
hook-up”.
7.1 Maintenance of pressure gauge
The pressure gauges are maintenance-free. Regular checks should be carried out to
ensure the measurement accuracy. In the case of pressure gauges with blow-out devices
or safety pressure gauges, the safety elements (e.g. blow-out plug or blow-out back) must
be replaced after 10 years. The replacement may only be carried out by skilled personnel
using original parts and after authorisation of the plant manager.
7.2 Separation at the EMICOgauge connection
Here, the pressure gauge can be easily separated from the instrumentation valve.
Tools: SW 22 and 27 open-ended spanner; SW 27, 60 Nm torque spanner
Pressure gauge dismounting
1. With the SW 22 open-ended spanner, at the spanner flats

, secure the pressure
gauge against turning and unscrew the 360° swivel connection anticlockwise at the
spanner flats

using the SW 27 open-ended spanner.
2. Carefully pull the pressure gauge off the valve. Thus, ensure that the metal sealing
faces are not damaged.
3. Remove O-ring sealing and support ring.
4. Clean the EMICOgauge connection inside and outside, in particular, the old high-tem-
perature ceramic paste must be completely removed. With cleaning, take care that no
sealing faces are damaged.






