Correlate – Compare all three frequencies and look for predictable differences, disregard-
ing or rejecting targets without reasonable similarities expected of good quality metals.
Span Limit - 0 – Off – Select how different in VDI numbers a target can be among
the three frequencies and still be considered a good or valued metal.
Wrap Limit - Off - <-90> - In bad ground good targets sometimes exceed the
+ VDI scale reappearing in the <-> 90 VDI range at one or more frequencies. Wrap
Limit allows selection of how far 95 a frequency can indicate and still be
considered a reasonably good correlation / accepted target.
Salt Compensate
– Employs a special multi-frequency salt subtraction method for use on salt water
beaches, alkali dessert regions when wet, and highly fertilized (silver & iron nitrate) farm fi elds when wet.
VDI –Select different methods of processing target information reported on the display when Salt
Compensate
is
used.
Best Data – Compare all three frequencies and then use the target information from the
frequency that appears to be the most reliable.
Correlate – Compare all three frequencies and look for predictable differences, disregarding
or rejecting targets without the predictable variables expected of good quality metals.
Span Limit - 0 – Off – Select how different in VDI number a target can be among
the three frequencies and still be considered a good or valued metal.
2.5 kHz
– Choose the 2.5 kHz frequency for silver / copper and other high conducting targets.
Normalized – Automatically convert raw VDI numbers at 2.5 kHz to the traditional VDI
scale.
7.5 kHz
– Choose the 7.5 kHz frequency for all around performance.
Normalized – Automatically convert raw VDI numbers at 7.5 kHz to the traditional VDI scale.
22.5 kHz
- Choose the 22.5 kHz frequency for gold / nickel and other small or low conducting targets.
Normalized –Automatically convert raw VDI numbers at 22.5 kHz to the traditional VDI
scale.
Frequency Offset
– -5 – 0 - +5 (0) = no offset. Slightly alter any given frequency or frequencies to avoid
external
interference.
GROUND TRACKING – Choose features that are benefi cial in the rejection of ground mineralization.
Autotrac “r”
– Automatically track changes in the ground’s mineralization.
Report – Display status line indicates when tracking occurs, (>>>) = increasing, (<<<) = decreasing.
Inhibit –Stops tracking when loop is over a possible target signal, best for metal types that corrode
or oxidize (iron, nickel, lead, brass, copper, silver).
Speed - 1 – 100 – How quickly tracking responds to changes in the ground.
Offset - -100 to +100 – Slightly offsets perfect balance tracking + (overbalanced) or – (under
balanced) to enhance specifi c performance desires. “+” Enhances small target sensitivity in bad
ground and reduces hot rock responses. “-“ Enhances response of iron oxides in low iron
ground matrix, for example stony iron meteorites in a ground matrix consisting of ice/snow.
Lock Trac – “X”
= no tracking. Trac Lock or not, holding TRIGGER and ENTER pump search coil over
ground, will always manually ground balance.
