•

Cut a 1-inch long piece of small heat shrink tubing and slip over the resistor and splice

points. Process (heat) with the heat gun.

•

Connect the free end of the white wire to the #1 terminal (low) on

Balance Control

R121a. Do not solder.

•

Find R147 (6.8 k

, 0.5 W), which was set aside previously. Plate pieces of insulating

spaghetti on each side of the resistor, leaving about 1/4-inch exposed.

•

Connect one end of the resistor to SW101 arm (left). Solder. Connect the other end of the

resistor to the #3 terminal (high) on

– Prepare a 3-inch long #22 white wire. Connect one end to terminal #1 (low) of

white wire and the shield) on one end of the audio cable. Insert the connector pins into a 4-

conductor Molex socket housing as follows: white to position #1 and shield to position #3.

– Cut two short pieces of small heat-shrink tubing, each about 3/4-inch long. Place the

tubing at each end of the audio cable. Process.

– Prepare a 15-inch long audio cable. Attach connector pins to each of the two wires (the

white wire and the shield) on one end of the audio cable. Insert the connector pins into the

4-conductor Molex socket housing as follows: white to position #2 and shield to position

#4.
