Freezer safety

Your safety and the safety of others are very important.

We have provided many important safety messages in this manual and on your appliance. Always read and obey all 
safety messages.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

This is the safety alert symbol.
This symbol alerts you to potential hazards that can kill or hurt you and others.
All safety messages will follow the safety alert symbol and either the word “DANGER” or “WARNING”. 
These words mean:

You can be killed or seriously injured if you don’t immediately 
follow instructions.

You can be killed or seriously injured if you don’t follow 
instructions.

All safety messages will tell you what the potential hazard is, tell you how to reduce the chance of injury, and tell 
you what can happen if the instructions are not followed.

  Connect the ground wire to an effective ground. 

  Connect to a 3-terminal outlet.

  Do not remove the ground wire.

  Do not use an adapter. 

  Do not use an extension cord.

  Disconnect power before servicing or cleaning the 

product.

  After cleaning or servicing, replace all components 

before turning the product on.

  Take off the doors of your old freezer. 

  Use non-flammable cleaning products.

  If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be 

replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a 
similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. 

  This appliance must not be used by people with 

reduced physical, sensorial or mental capacity 
(including children) or who lack knowledge or 
experience unless they are supervised or instructed 
by the person responsible for their safety. 

  Children should be supervised to ensure they do 

not play with the appliance.

  Keep flammable materials such as gasoline away 

from the freezer. 

  Use two or more people to move and install the 

freezer.

Proper disposal of your old freezer

Suffocation Hazard

Remove doors from your old freezer.

Failure to do so can result in death or severe 
injuries.

The product should not be treated as domestic residue. It 
shall be taken to a collecting point for recycling of electric 
and electronic equipment. 
This freezer has not been designed to be used by children, 
by disabled people or by people with special needs.
Do not allow children to play or hide inside the unit as they 
can be trapped and die of asphyxiation.

Before you throw away your old freezer:

 

Cut the power supply cord

 into 

pieces.

 

Take off the doors.

 

Leave the shelves in place

  so that children may not
  easily climb inside.

Junked or abandoned freezer are still dangerous especially 
for children as they may get stuck inside the product, running 
the risk of suffocation. Proper disposal of this product avoids 
negative consequences to the environment and to your 
health.
