Unsuccessful Ac�va�on
If entry into diagnos�c mode is unsuccessful,
refer to the following indica�ons and ac�ons:
Indica�on 1: None of the LED’s or display turn on.
Ac�on: Select any cycle.

If indicators come on, try to change the
func�on for the three bu�ons used to ac�vate
the diagnos�c test mode. If any bu�on is
unable to change the func�on, something
is faulty with the bu�on, and it will not be
possible to enter the diagnos�c mode using
that bu�on. Replace the user interface and
housing assembly.

If no indicators come on a�er selec�ng the
cycle, go to TEST #1.
Indica�on 2: Console indicators begin flashing
immediately.
Ac�on: If console indicators begin flashing on
and off immediately, replace the user interface.
Ac�va�on with Saved Fault Codes
If there is a saved fault code, it will be flashing
in the display. Review the Fault/Error Codes
table on pages 8–10 for the recommended
procedure. If there is no saved fault code,
“888” will be displayed.
USER INTERFACE TEST (Figure 1)
NOTE: The Service Diagnos�c mode must be
ac�vated before entering the User Interface
Test.
Ac�ve Fault Code Display
in User Interface Test
If the display begins flashing while in User
Interface Test, it is displaying an ac�ve fault
code. Ac�ve fault codes are codes that are
currently detected. Only one ac�ve fault code
can be displayed at a �me.
Entry Procedure
Press and release the 1st bu�on used
to ac�vate Service Diagnos�c mode.
User Interface Test
Pressing bu�ons and rota�ng the cycle
selector knob will turn on/off the corresponding
indicator and sound a beep as shown in figure
1, User Interface Test, pages 2–3. If indicators
do not come on and beep a�er pressing
bu�ons and rota�ng the cycle selector knob,
go to TEST #2: User Interface.
NOTE: A second press of the POWER bu�on
while in User Interface Test mode exits the
Service Diagnos�c mode and returns the
washer to standby mode.
Exit Procedure
To exit User Interface Test, press and hold the
1st bu�on used to ac�vate Service Diagnos�c
mode for 5 seconds.
QUICK DIAGNOSTICS
NOTE: The Service Diagnos�c mode must be
ac�vated before entering Quick Diagnos�cs;
see procedure. If, at any point, the user presses the
power bu�on, the washer exits to standby mode.
Ac�ve Fault Code Display
in Quick Diagnos�cs
If the display begins flashing while in Quick
Diagnos�cs, it is displaying an ac�ve fault
code. Ac�ve fault codes are codes that are
currently detected. Only one ac�ve fault code
can be displayed at a �me.
Entry Procedure
To enter Quick Diagnos�cs, press and release
the 2nd bu�on used to ac�vate the Service
Diagnos�c mode. All LEDs turn off and the
START bu�on begins to flash. Press the START
bu�on to perform the Quick Diagnos�cs tests
listed on page 6. Each test phase is indicated
on the display.
Exit Procedure
When test is complete, press the POWER
bu�on to exit Quick Diagnos�cs and return
to standby mode.

Press the START buon to cycle through the
following informaon:

UI (Soware Version, EEPROM Version)
•
MCU (Soware Version)
Exit Procedure
Press the POWER buon to exit Soware
Version Display and return to standby mode.
FAULT/ERROR CODES

Fault/Error Code Display Method
Fault codes are displayed by alternately
showing F# and E#. All fault codes have an
F# and an E#. The F# indicates the suspect
System/Category. The E# indicates the
suspect Component system.
