4. Operating Procedures

4.8. Locking the Device

The smart key (if purchased) can be used to lock the device.

• When the device needs to be locked at the point of destination or storage, be sure to carry the

smart key with you. Although it is possible to lock the device using a smartphone, if the smartphone
battery runs out, it will not be possible to lock or unlock the device.

• For the instructions to change the smart key battery, refer to “8.2 Replacing the smart key battery”.

4.8.1. Locking

Press the smart key lock button.

The smart key LED illuminates, and the icon
indicating the locked status appears on the
display. The device is now locked. When it
locks, the rear tail light on the device flashes
once.

If you attempt to turn the power on when the
device is locked, the icon indicating the locked
status appears on the display, and then the
power turns off. The device cannot be started.
