“How can I stop the Messenger from breaking the words in my Message?”
•
Your Message was designed for a longer Display unit - If you program an MGM01 8-char-
acter display with Messages designed for an MGM02 16-character display, the words within
the Message may be broken to fit the 8-character format. The same condition will occur if an
MGM02 is programmed with Messages designed for the MGM03 24-character display. Re-
program the Display with the correct Message File.
•
On-Off mode has been selected when Continuous should have been used - If your Message
is meant to scroll across the display, and On-Off mode is selected, words at the ends of Data
Fields may be broken. Select the Continuous mode to rectify the problem.
•
Mirrored text is left justified - On Mirrored messages that scroll from right to left, a short
message segment (typically the last one) gets the default Left justification. This causes the data
to appear some distance away from the rest of the Message. This can be corrected by setting
the Message to Right justification.
“I created a Message using the “Mirror” configuration and it scrolls the wrong direction.”
The scroll setting is set to Left. The Mirror attribute works on characters only. Scroll direc-
tions are not converted. To correct the problem, change the scroll direction to Right.
