INPUT MENU

Input Settings

This is the first tab on the top far left of the Pro GUI. (Note: the screen that is

currently being displayed is indicated by a green background on the selection tab).

The Input screen contains controls for the input source selection:

Input Failsafe,

Analog and AES input gain controls, input L/R gain balance,

Phase Rotator

, and the

high pass filters which may be operated in Stereo or Sum/Difference mode.

Input Source

The Input Source has three choices, one is analog and two are digital. The analog

choice is Left/Right, and the two digital choices are AES/EBU (AES3) or WheatNet‑IP

(WNIP). Note that the Automatic input Failover operates between analog and digital

choices only (digital to digital is not supported)..

The currently selected input is shown by a red checkmark.

Input Signal Presence

Below the source selection check boxes are a pair of signal presence indicators. The

Analog indicator lights if there is a signal present at the analog input that exceeds the

threshold of ‑48dBFS. The AES indicator lights if there is a valid AES signal present

at the digital input that is above ‑48dBFS.

Automatic Input Failover

In the event the currently selected input source fails and the

Automatic Input Failover

check box is checked, an alternate source of audio connected to the other input can

automatically be put on the air.

• If the primary audio source was digital (AES3 or WNIP) the analog input will be

selected immediately if the input was AES3 and after a 30 second silence sense

timeout with audio below ‑48dBFS if the input was WNIP.

• If the primary audio source was analog, then a silence sense timeout of 30 seconds

must elapse with audio below ‑48dBFS before failover to the digital inputs will

occur.
