Start-Up
Inserting/Replacing the Batteries
Before first use, install the 4 provided rechargeable batteries in the battery
compartment (13) as follows.
1. Depress the latch of the battery compartment cover and open the battery
compartment.
2. Insert the 4 batteries into the battery compartment. Pay attention to the proper
polarity of the batteries. The polarity is printed inside the battery compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment with the cover. Charge the batteries with direct
sunlight for approx. 8 hours before using the pump for the first time.
4. If you do not plan to use the unit for a longer period of time, remove the
batteries from the battery compartment.
5. Replace the 4 batteries with batteries of the same type and dimensions if the
unit does not work even when it has been charged by direct sunlight for
several days.
Charging the Batteries using an external Charger
If you plan to use the pump in bad weather conditions without having direct
sunlight, you can charge the batteries using an external battery charger (not
included). Connect this charger with the charging socket (18).
