Speed is calculated using a 1725 rpm electric motor.

To determine belt speed (ft/min):

1. Divide the speed (rpm) of the motor by the outside diameter of the conveyor pulley.

2. Multiply by the outside diameter of the motor pulley.

3. Multiply by the circumference of the drive roller (4" diameter).

4. Divide by 12 to get ft/min.

Example:

1725 rpm ÷ 15" x 4.25" x (3.14 x 4") ÷ 12 in/ft = 511 ft/min

Note

If a slower belt speed is desired, install a smaller motor pulley.

Install the Pulley Guard

1. Attach guard mounts (1, 2) to spout weldment using two 1/2" x 1-1/4" bolts (3) and 1/2" locknuts (4) (see

Figure 37

). Do not tighten. Guard mounts should be able to pivot.
