The face of the motor shaft should be flush with the outside edge of the engine pulley.
3. Check the gearbox pulley alignment. The distance between the face of the gearbox shaft and the outside
hub should be 3/8".
4. Move the pulleys to the required positions for alignment.
5. Tighten the hub set screws to secure pulleys.
6. Check the belt tension.

7. Loosen the 3/4" x 6" bolt and locknut.
8. Adjust the 7/16" x 1–1/4" bolt:
A
Counter-clockwise (when facing the head of the bolt) to move the belt toward the inside of the
belt tensioner frame.
B
Clockwise (when facing the head of the bolt) to move the belt toward the outside of the belt
tensioner frame.
9. The belt should be adjusted to the center of the pulley. it is normal for the belt to wander back and forth. It
is not set properly if the belt is running full time against one side of the pulley.
10. Tighten the 3/4" x 6" bolt and locknut.
