1. Before connecting the unit to
power mains, make sure the
motor of the chain saw sharp-
ener is switched off, to avoid
unintended starting.
2. Place the chainsaw chain on
the chain holder assembly (J).
Lift up the adjustment wedge
(G) and unscrew the fastening
screw (F). Tighten the chainsaw
chain with the fastening screw.
3. To switch on the unit, press the
ON/OFF switch (B) in direction
I
. For sharpening, press the
handle (C) lightly down. When
sharpening, always wear protect-
tion goggles.
4. Rotate the chain holder assem-
bly (J) only when the grinding
disc is not moving. Before for-
warding the chainsaw chain to
the next tooth, always switch the
unit off and wait until the grinding
disc comes to a complete stop.
5. Tighten the angle adjustment
screw (L) on the bottom not too
tight, so the chain holder as-
sembly can move freely but,
during sharpening, it will stay on
the chosen angle position. In the
positions 15 and 30 degree (K)
the chain holder assembly locks
audible.
