Assembling
Before first Use
Unpack the chain saw sharpener and check all parts for any damage in transit.
Dispose of packaging materials or store it out of reach of children. Plastic bags
etc. may become a deadly toy for children.
Assembling
The chain saw sharpener is supplied only partly assembled. Please assemble the
the unit as follows:
1. Place the base plate (A) on a solid, level
surface, e.g. a work bench. Ensure that the
base plate (A) extends out far enough over the
edge of the work bench so that the chainsaw
chain can hang down freely and you can
easily access the angle adjustment screw (L)
at the bottom. Mount the base plate (A) on the
fastening holes (O).
2. Place the mounted chain holder assembly (J)
on the base plate (A) and fasten it from below with the swivel plate (part no.
63) and the angle adjustment screw (L). By loosening the angle adjustment
screw (L) and by turning the mounted chain holder assembly (J) you can
adjust the angle of the chain holder assembly.
3. Fasten the engine block with the grinding disc on the base plate. Make sure
the nose of the engine block is situated in front of the depth limiter (N) spring
in order to tense the spring. Place the right press board (55) and the left press
board (56) on the base plate and mount the press boards with the bolts (54).
4. The chain saw sharpener is ready for use.
Please Note! Before starting the unit, make sure the grinding disc is fixed firmly.
Never operate the unit without the protective cover.
