Using
Power Supply 13.6 V (13.6 V/SUPPLY)
In this mode (D), the battery charger delivers a constant voltage of
13.6 V and a current of max. 5 A. This way the battery charger can
be used as power supply with polarity protection and overload
protection.
1. Insert the power plug of the battery charger into a wall socket.
2. Press and hold the mode button (A) for approx. 4 seconds. The
LED (F) and the
LED (D) shine
permanently.
3. The charger provides a constant voltage of 13.6 V at the
clamps.
16 V Boost Mode
This mode can be used to recover severely discharged 12 V
batteries. High voltage of max. 17 V and 1.5 A charges the battery
for a maximum period of 3 hours. At the end of this stage it changes
back to “normal” charging mode (14.4 V).
Fault – Incorrect Polarity
The fault LED (H) lights up when the battery is connected with
reverse polarity poles.
Standby Mode
The battery charger goes into standby mode (power LED (I) shines)
in the following situations:
a) Plus and minus clamps are short circuited.
b) Over-load protection is activated.
c) A defective battery has been connected.
d) The battery to be charged is not connected properly.
e) The voltage of the connected battery is lower than 4.5 V +/-0.5 V
(12 V battery) resp. lower than 16 V +/-0.25 V (24 V battery).
