Usage
General Hints
Dispose of the packaging materials in a responsible way. The plastic bags
may become a deadly toy for children.
After unpacking, thoroughly clean all parts of the multipurpose pot. The lid may
stick on the pot even after the clasps are released. In this case gently separate
the lid from the pot.
Hints for Extracting Juice
The big, flat multilayered base of the pot evenly distributes the heat to the
water. The multipurpose pot always has good contact with the heat
source.
The tightly closing lid keeps the steam inside the multipurpose pot, only
small amounts are lost through the soft pressure valve. This way the pot
only looses very little heat, the extraction times are reduced.
The bottle is placed on the same level as the pot, bottling becomes easier
and the danger of scalding is significantly reduced.
You do not need to add fresh water during the juice extraction, because
the pot looses only about 0.5 litres of water during one extraction process.
Due to the rapid extraction only very little water mixes with the juice, the
juice will be very concentrated. The extraction is almost complete because
the fruit are under light pressure during the process.
Add sugar according to the table on page 12.
Please keep in mind that pomes (apple, peaches etc.) must be cut into
pieces. Cut into stone fruit and remove the stone, the residues can be
used for preparing mush. For cherries, remove stem and stone, mix sweet
cherries with an even amount of sour cherries or currants for a more
flavoursome juice. Do not peel rhubarb, but cut it into small pieces.
Juice extraction is most efficient when deep frozen or fully ripe fruit are
used. Decayed spots must be cut away before putting the fruit into the
container.
You can also use the multipurpose pot to extract a healthy, pleasant juice
from herbs. You can combine many different herbs or herbs and vegeta-
bles.
Preparing herbs:
Dandelions, Melissa wash and chop up.
Garden- and Water Cress wash in vinegar water.
Parsley, Sage, Sorrel, Chervil wash briefly
