To configure the IP address:
1. Install Westell’s Kentrox Redirect software on your laptop or PC. When the
installation is complete, Kentrox Redirect and Kentrox Kickstart icons appear on
your desktop.
2. Use a standard CAT5 Ethernet cable to connect the PC or laptop to an Ethernet
port on Remote RMM-700.
3. Launch Kentrox Kickstart. Kickstart discovers the Remote RMM-700 device, as
shown in Figure 1-8.


The Kentrox Kickstart GUI shows that it has discovered a Remote, in this
case under the hostname rmc27.
Important:
If a security alert appears advising that the server’s host key is not
cached in the registry, click the “yes” button to add the key to the
cache. See Figure 1-9.
