8. SET UP MACINTOSH OS X
This section provides instructions on how to use Macintosh Operating System 10 with the Westell Router. Follow
the instructions in this section to create a new network configuration for Macintosh OS X.
NOTE: The USB installation will not function for Macintosh Computers. Macintosh computers must use
the Router’s Ethernet installation. Refer to page 8 for installation instructions.
Open the System Preference Screen
After you have connected the Westell Router to the Ethernet port of your Macintosh, the screen below will appear.
Click on the “
Apple
” icon in the upper right corner of the screen and select
System Preferences
.
Choose the Network Preferences
After selecting
System Preferences…
, from the previous screen, the
System Preferences
screen will be displayed.
From the
System Preferences
screen, click on the
Network
icon.
