Sensors included in the weCat3D series use line lasers. A line laser is an extended source. As a result, the C

factor (see IEC EN 60825-1:2014) must be taken into account when evaluating the laser class. Due to the fact

is greater than or equal to 1, the maximum permissible exposure value (MPE) for thermic retinal haz-
ard is increased by a factor of C
