3.2 Changing the fabric with the cassette disassembled (weinor recommendation)
Mark the location of the fabric on the roller tube before unwinding it.
The fabric is attached to the roller tube (depending on the production date) using claw or
magnetic claw piping and fixed to the sides with double-sided adhesive tape. If claw piping
is installed in the system, it is recommended that the cassette is disassembled.
Unscrew the 6x50 chipboard screw from the
fabric rail in the projection profile on both
sides and remove the fabric dowel with it.
Push the cord edge outwards slightly and then
remove it completely.
The fabric can now be removed from the
projection profile.
Unwind the fabric completely from the roller
tube until the roller tube's cord edge and fabric
rail are visible.
Make sure that the tension rope is wound
evenly onto the rope drum.
Remove the fabric from the adhesive areas
carefully and take it out of the front of the
cassette.
Remove the remains of the double-sided
adhesive tape.
Be careful not to damage the seams when winding the new fabric!
Replacement fabrics can be supplied on request wound on fabric cores in the fabric's
dropping direction to avoid kinks during transport. These fabrics have to be unwound
first and then wound up again to the system width before assembly. The old fabric can
be used as a base for the new fabric to avoid possible soiling.
Stick a strip of double-sided adhesive tape (approx. 20 to 50 cm long) to the area under the
Optinut roller tube's fabric rail on each side of the fabric edges. Do not remove the double-
sided adhesive tape's protective film yet.
Hang the new fabric in the roller tube groove (1) and insert or press the fabric into the groove
using a blunt, flat tool (e.g. a plastic card) (2).
Note:
The claw or magnetic claw piping hook and beaded profile with round cord edges must
be facing downwards (3). Align the roller tube in the centre (4)!
Insert the fabric in the projection profile with the cord edge and screw it back in place with the
6x50 chipboard screw and fabric dowel.
