Connecting External Storage
10.1. eSATA port
MD800M have two eSATA ports (Rear: 1-ports) for external storage device interface.

Some eSATA may not be recognized by the MD800M according to the method. Before purchasing,
please consult with the local distributor.
10.2.
Connecting eSATA Device
When using external eSATA supporting FireWire, hard drive bays can be connected through 1 port in the
rear panel. MD800M do not supply power to the hard drive bay; therefore the device using external
power is only available.
<ote>
While operating MD800M, it can recognize eSATA connecting. But it may not recognize based on
external device. It recommends the connection in following orders;
1. Power off MD800M
2. Connect external device and eSATA interface cable.
3. Power on external device
4. Power on MD800M
