MAINTENANCE

CLEANING REMOVABLE BOWL LINER

m

  WARNING: turn your Weber

®

electric barbecue OFF and wait for

it to cool before cleaning.

m

WARNING: Avoid grease build up on the grate and inside your

grill. Regular cleaning of the grate and the removable bowl

liner between uses is necessary to avoid grease build up.

Improper maintenance can lead to a grease fire which can

cause serious bodily injury or death, and damage to property.

1)  Unplug temperature controller power cord. Grasp controller by base behind the

control knob (a) and pull to remove (b).

m

CAUTION: Pulling controller by the knob could cause the knob

to come off.

2)  Carefully tilt the heating element slightly upwards and slide the removable bowl

liner out and away from grill. Scrape the inside of the bowl liner with a plastic

scraper to remove excess grease build up.

m

CAUTION: Do not use oven cleaner, abrasive cleansers (kitchen

cleansers), cleaners that contain citrus products, or abrasive

cleaning pads on the heating element. Do not use cleaners that

contain acid, mineral spirits or xylene.

3)  Replace removable bowl liner and temperature controller before use.

m

Always plug temperature controller fully into grill before

plugging power cord into outlet.

Excess drippings and grease will accumulate in the grease catch pan. (Disposable foil

drip pans are available that fit the grease catch pan).

m

WARNING: Check the grease catch pan for grease build-up

before each use. Remove excess grease to avoid a grease fire in

the grease catch pan.

m

Should a grease fire occur, turn off temperature controller and

leave lid closed until fire is out.
