Chapter 5: Connecting to the Sensor

1 After opening SmartSensor Manager, select either Modem
(Phone #) or Internet (TCP/IP) , and click OK .

In the connection window, click the address book on the right
side. This opens the respective entries of your last opened
address book.

Setting Description Details
Select Enters a selected
entry's information
into the respective
connection window.
When you are
connected to a sensor,
the Select button will
be disabled. You'll
be able to edit the
address book entries,
but you will not be
able to connect unless
you first disconnect
from the sensor.
New Creates a new
address book entry.

Note. The connection
window is the only
way to use the
address book to
connect to a sensor.
Note.
If you're adding
an Internet entry,
you need to enter
either an IP alias
(domain name) OR
an IP address. Don't
fill out both fields.
