Position the landing gear wire and plastic mount onto the
bottom of the fuselage. When aligned correctly, the back edge
of the plastic mount should be even with the front of the wing
saddle and centered between the fuselage sides.
❑
When satisfied with the alignment, remove the landing gear wire and the plastic mount.
❑
Using 220 grit sandpaper, roughen the gluing surfaces of the landing gear wire, the plastic landing gear mount and the
bottom of the fuselage.
❑
Using a generous amount of 5 minute epoxy, glue the landing gear wire and plastic mount to the fuselage. Remove
any excess epoxy using a paper towel and rubbing alcohol, and hold the assembly firmly in place until the epoxy sets up.
❑
Temporarily slide one plastic strut cover onto one gear
leg, making sure that the straight side of the cover is toward
the front of the airplane and that the strut cover is positioned
on
top
of the gear wire.
❑
Partially slide one wheel pant onto one axle, followed by
one nylon spacer, the wheel, then a second nylon spacer.
❑
Push the wheel pant and wheel assembly completely onto
the axle and up against the end of the strut cover, as shown.

After sliding the wheel pant assembly into place, double-check that the wheel spins freely. If it doesn't,
you may need to pull the sides of the wheel pant away from the wheel slightly, or you might have to remove the wheel
pant and trim the cutout for the wheel wider.
