Disassembling the Flow Cell
Figure 3 - Exploded View of 2487 Autopurification Flow Cell
NOTE:
Flow cell components showing part numbers are the components that need to be
replaced. All other parts are to be reused.
Exit or Cuvette Side
1. With the notches on the flow cell cuvette lens mount screw facing you, use the flat-blade
screwdriver to remove the cuvette lens mount screw.
2. On a lint-free towel, position the notched end of the cuvette lens mount screw facing
down.
3. Using the cotton end of the lint-free swab, insert it into the end of the cuvette lens mount
screw that faces up, and gently push the split ring out enough where it can be removed
using plastic tweezers. Remove the split ring and cuvette lens from the cuvette lens
mount screw (Figure 3).
4. Use the screwdriver to remove the lens holder. The black-colored exit window washer
will always remain inside the lens holder.
5. Using plastic tweezers, pull out the exit (stepped) window from inside the lens holder.
NOTE:
In some instances the exit window may remain inside the flow cell body. If so,
turn the flow cell body over and gently tap it to remove it.
If necessary, use the
opposite end of the lint-free swab to help free the exit window.
6. Remove the clear gasket using the plastic tweezers or lint-free swab.
Entrance Side
1. Flip the flow cell over to the entrance lens side.
