The web based management supports IE 6.0. It is based on Java Applets with an aim to

reduce network bandwidth consumption, enhance access speed and present an easy

viewing screen.

5.1

Workstation Settings for Web Management

Before the management functions can be accessed via the web, use the console

connection to login to the switch to check the IP address of the switch. The default IP

address is:

IP Address

: 192.168.16.1

Subnet Mask

: 255.255.255.0

Default Gateway

: 192.168.16.254

User Name

: root

Password

: root

5.2

Login via the Web

1. Launch

2. Enter the

IP address

of the switch and press

Enter.

Example: http://192.168.16.1

3. The login screen will be displayed.

4. Enter the user name and password. The default user name and password is

root

5. Click

Enter

6. The main menu of for web based management will be displayed.
