Performing the Weekly Compressor Maintenance

Use the illustrations and instructions to perform the
weekly compressor maintenance. Operating the
compressor in fixed mode with the air discharge
open lubricates and exercises the system.
Note:
In humid environments, steam can form and
escape during this procedure.
When performing this procedure:
•
Always start the system in auto or unload mode.
•
Always circulate enough cool water to regulate
the compressor oil temperature during operation
•
Never operate the system with the compressor
oil temperature above 250°F (121°C).
1 Engage the water pump, then make sure that
the pressure is rising.
2 Connect a hose to the auxiliary air outlet.
3 Open the auxiliary air outlet.
4 Engage the compressor, then toggle the
auto-sync switch to the
Fixed
position.
5 Operate the system for 15 minutes.
6 After completing the procedure, shut down the
system. Refer to:
"Shutting Down the
System" on page 91.
