Drive shaft and roller bearings

Dismounting:

Remove joint. (



Chapter 9.6)

Remove sealing unit. (



Chapter 9.7)

Remove drive unit. (



Chapter 9.8)

Undo and remove flange bolts 1008 and remove drive unit flange 1104.

Remove shaft seal and replace by a new seal when refitting.

Use a press to press-out drive shaft 1000 in drive end direction.

Remove snap ring 1009 and withdraw drive end bearing 1007.

Press out roller bearing 1003.

Replace shaft seal 1002.

Mounting:

Press new roller bearings 1003/1007 onto the new drive shaft.

Possible damage



Heat roller bearing to approximately 90°C before fitting.

Use snap rings to mount bearing onto shaft.

Press drive shaft complete with roller bearings into the bearing chair.

Mount bearing casing flange and tighten bolts.

Slide in drive unit and tighten flange bolts.
