5. Controls
IMPORTANT! Before starting work with the wood
splitter, become familiar with the location and
function of all controls.
5.1 Engine
Refer to the Honda™ engine manual that came with this
product for further explanation on engine controls.

5.1.1 Throttle Lever
This lever controls the engine speed. Move the lever
side to side to increase or decrease engine rpm. Always
operate the wood splitter with the throttle lever in the
MAX position.

5.1.2 Ignition Switch
This rotary switch controls the ignition system.
• The engine operates in the ON position. Before
starting the engine, turn the switch to ON.
• Turn it counter-clockwise to OFF to stop the
engine.

5.1.3 Recoil Starter
The recoil starter is located on the side of the engine. The
starter grip is pulled out by hand to start the engine.
