4.
Turn the rotor past the ledger knife with the gauge inserted
between them to check clearance. The gauge should be
tight. Check all four knives.

Loosen the securing bolts (1).
6.
Loosen the jam nuts off on the outside of the ledger knife
support (3).
7.
Turn the two adjuster nuts (3) clockwise so the ledger knife
slides firmly up against the gauge inside the rotor housing.
Move both adjusters evenly.
8.
Remove the ledger knife gauge. Tighten the jam nuts and
securing bolts.

8.8.2 Changing Ledger Knife
The ledger knife is removed through the bottom of the chipper.
1.
Loosen the outside jam nuts (3) and the inside adjuster
nuts (2).
2.
Remove the bolts (1) holding the ledger knife in place to
allow the blade to fall through the bottom of the chipper.

Rotate the ledger knife or replace it with a new or
sharpened knife.

Hand-tighten the bolts.
