Maintenance and cleaning:
• Considering there is pollution in the air which can come into contact with your
awning canvas, therefore, when the weather is dry, clean your canvas frequently.
Use a soft brush. Try, if possible, to clean the roof. Any shower will bring down dirt
which makes black stripes on your sidewalls which are difficult to clean.
• If you wish to clean the canvas, the best method is to use clean water and a clean
sponge without any soap. Never use a synthetic detergent!
• Clean your frame and pegs. Keep it in a dry place. Do not keep the frame in a closed
plastic bag or similar, this will cause condensation and rust.
• If any framepart has to be replaced you can use the article numbers on the frame
drawing to order them.
• After using the awning you need to remove the pegging rubbers, Easy-Setup
bracket pads and Easy-Lock stormbelts to prevent damage to the canvas and
windows.
• Walker Campingstyle BV undertakes repairs as from September till December.
Any repair has to be sent to Walker Campingstyle BV carriage paid by customer.
• Only clean and dry tents can be accepted to be repaired.
• Send a letter including full postal address and telephone number with the repair.
If possible include a drawing showing the problem.
Mildew:
Mildew caused by moist weather can be recognized by small brown spots which
are found inside the canvas. Cleaning these brown spots is possible. The inside of
the roof can be treated with a mixture of one part bleach and ten parts water. With
the use of a soft brush you can rub on this mixture. After the canvas has dried you
will notice that the vast majority of the spots have disappeared. In case you feel the
need to do so, you can repeat this treatment. Afterwards you can impregnate the
seams of the roof with a recognised spray treatment.
The windows are a relatively soft material. Every new awning or canopy which
comes straight out of the package is likely to have relief marks of zips, canvas and
mudwalls etc. on the windows. Unfortunately it is not possible to avoid this and
therefore has to be accepted. When the awning is erected and tightly tensioned
in warm weather conditions for a period of time, these unevenness’ will
largely disappear.
Walker Campingstyle BV uses only first class zips for its productions.
The durability of the zips largely depends on the way people treat them.
Any damage on zips will not be covered by guarantee.
