4. Connection
WARNING
Exposed electrical parts.
Danger to life through electric shock.
X
Do not connect the luminaire to the
power supply until the luminaire has
been completely assembled.
NOTICE
Property damage through incorrect
connection voltage.
Destruction of or damage to the lumi-
naire.
X
Compare mains voltage with the
nominal voltage and frequency
specified on the rating plate and
make sure they are identical.
4.1 Connecting the luminaire to
the power supply
X
Plug mains plug into a socket.
4.2 Initial startup
When the luminaire is connected to the
power supply for the first time, in-system
registration starts automatically.
The luminaire head logs into the lumi-
naire control in the column.
Luminaire control and luminaire head
synchronise certain parameters.
The luminaire functions are activated.
During registration the status LED on the
luminaire head flashes blue.
Registration can take up to 60 seconds.
Then the luminaire switches on automat-
ically.
5. Luminaire functions
The luminaire has different functions
depending on the luminaire model.
5.1 Operating functions
You can switch the luminaire on, off and
dim it via the control element, a button on
the luminaire head or the LIGHT USER app.
5.2 Light management
LUM CONNECT MANAGE light manage-
ment systems combine presence and day-
light sensors. The luminaire only lights up
when the sensors register that someone is
present in the room and the daylight bright-
ness level is not sufficient.
Functional principle
If the sensor system detects presence in
its sensing range and the daylight bright-
ness level is not sufficient, the luminaire
switches on automatically.
If the sensor does not detect any move-
ment within its sensing range within ten
minutes, the luminaire switches off auto-
matically.
If the brightness in the sensing range of
the daylight sensor changes, LUM CON-
NECT MANAGE controls the brightness of
the luminaire so that the working area is
illuminated uniformly.
Manual inputs at the luminaire, such as
e.g. switching on and off, take priority over
automatic light management until the sens-
ing range of the sensors has been left for
ten minutes.
