The outputs can be set and the counter can be set or disabled with control byte
C0. Status byte S0 shows the statuses of the counter and the inputs and outputs.

This value is not evaluated.
The following functions can be executed:
Setting Counter:
If bit 5 is set in the control byte, the counter is loaded with the 32-bit value from
output bytes 0 to 3. As long as the bit is set, the counter is stopped and the
loaded value is retained. Bit 5 in the status byte indicates that the counter has
successfully loaded.
Disabling Counter:
If bit 4 is set in the control byte, count processes are disabled. Bit 4 in the status
byte indicates the counter is disabled.
Setting/Resetting Outputs:
Control byte bits 2 and 3 set the digital outputs “DO 1” and “DO 2.”
4.3
2 Up Counter
In operating mode “2 Up Counter,” the 750-404/040-003 I/O Module provides the
fieldbus coupler/controller with 5-byte in- and output process images via two
logical channels.
The counter setting value to be set is stored in binary format in the four output
bytes (D0, D1 or D2, D3).
The statuses of the counters are stored in binary format in the four input bits (D0,
D1 or D2, D3).
Control byte C0 is used to set the counters and the outputs. Status byte S0
contains the statuses of the counters and the inputs and outputs.
