CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning work should be undertaken regularly and carefully by qualifi ed and trained staff .
The staff must be familiar with the DIN EN 50050-2 provisions. They should be informed of
specifi c hazards during their training.
The following hazards may arise during cleaning work:
Health hazard from inhaling powder lacquer
Use of unsuitable cleaning tools and aids

CLEANING STAFF
Explosive powder/air mixes!
Danger to life and damage to the device.
Before starting cleaning or other manual work, the high-voltage
must be shut down and locked to prevent it from being switched
back on!
The spray gun must be separated from the high-voltage supply
and compressed air supply before any cleaning work is started!
Use only electrically conductive tanks for cleaning liquids!
Ground the tank!
Preference should be given to non-fl ammable cleaning fl uids.
Flammable cleaning liquids may only be used if, after switching
off the high-voltage, all high-voltage conducting parts are
discharged to a discharge energy of less than 0.24 mJ before
they can be accessed.
Most
fl ammable solvents have an ignition energy of around
0.24 mJ or 60 nC.
The cleaning agent's fl ash point must be at least 15 K above the
ambient temperature.
Only mobile industrial vacuum cleaners of design 1 (see EN 60335-2)
may be used to remove dust deposits.
