4.4 Installation
Place the generator in an area where it will not be exposed to rain,
snow, or direct sunlight. Make sure it is positioned on firm, level
ground, so it will not slide or shift. Position the engine exhaust away
from areas where people may be present.
The surrounding area must be free from water and moisture. All
components must be protected from excessive moisture.
4.5 Installing the Spark Arrester
A spark arrester is available as an accessory for this machine. Install
the spark arrester prior to using the machine in areas where spark
arresters are required.
To install the spark arrester:
4.5.1 Position the spark arrester (a) on the engine exhaust pipe (b) .
4.5.2 Secure the spark arrester with the screw (c) included with the spark
arrester.
