3. Measure the resistance of the current transformer by measuring across the two

wires of the current transformer

Checking the
switch

Follow the procedure below to check the switch.

1. Check for 12VDC incoming to the switch.

2. Check for 12VDC outgoing from the switch when the switch is in the ON

position.

Does the switch perform as stated above?

The auto idle circuit has now been checked. Reassemble the generator.

No ____

The current transformer is OK; continue.

The current transformer has failed;

replace it.
