The EX2500A runs a power on self-test (POST) whenever it is powered up or reset. If a POST
failure occurs, the link status LEDs on the front panel are used to display the error which has
occurred. The table below provides a description of the LEDs behavior during an error event.

From the top cover of the EX2500A, several switches can be viewed with various functions. These
switches must be configured prior to installation of the EX2500A into a mainframe. The default
setting for each of these switches is underlined in order to provide a quick reference when in the
field. The section that follows provides a detailed description for each configurable switch.
