Direct Transfer During Your Conversation
You can transfer your call during a conversation by:
1. Press
the
button on the Portable Handset.
2. Press the number of the handset that you want to transfer the call to
or
Press the
button again if you have set a preferred handset to ring (see setting
Preferred Ringing Handset
in
ADVANCED OPERATIONS & FEATURES
section).
Transfer After Placing Your Call On Hold
You can put your call on hold and transfer the call to another handset by:
1. Press
the
button to put your call on hold.
2. Press
the
button.
3. Press the number of the handset that you want to transfer the call to
or
Press the
button again if you have set a preferred handset to ring (see setting
Preferred Ringing Handset
in
ADVANCED OPERATIONS & FEATURES
section).
Note:
At this point, you are basically speaking with the other handset with the phone system’s intercom feature.
You would tell the person on the other handset that you have someone on hold and you are going to transfer
the call to him/her.
4. Press the
button to transfer the call you have put on hold to the other handset
or
If the other handset does not want to receive the call, press the
button and you can continue talking to
the person you had put on hold.
Note:
•
If you do not press the handset number within 2 seconds after pressing the
button from the Portable
Handset, the system will automatically transfer the call to the base unit.
•
If you transfer the call and the person you transferred it to do not answer within 30 seconds, the Portable Handset
that the transfer originated from will ring.
•
If you transfer the call and the person you transferred it to do not receive it, you can talk to the person who you
tried to transfer by pressing the
button.
