Removing the rear bumper (applies to the XC70)

Drill out the rivets (1 x per side).
Illustration B
Detach the screws (5), one on each side, until the mounting
releases from the bumper cover.
Hint
Press in the screw so that the screw heads bottoms.

Removing the rear bumper (applies to all)
Pull the ends of the bumper out. Slacken off the upper edge of
the bumper cover. Pull it straight backwards
Place the bumper on an underlay that will not damage the paint
Hint
This operation is easier with two people.
