simultaneously. It is also possible to charge mixed NiMh and NiCd
storage batteries of different capacities and charging states, since
each storage battery is treated and charged individually due to the
monitoring of the individual charging compartments. Thus, it is
almost impossible to destroy the storage batteries or the charger.
• The UFC-5 LCD now performs an automatic storage battery test.
If a storage battery cannot be charged by the UFC-5 LCD
anymore, or if you have inserted a non-rechargeable battery by
accident, the charging status LED starts flashing in red color on
top of the respective compartment and the display indicates
„BAD". Remove the defective storage battery from the UFC-5
LCD and dispose of them according to the relevant statutory
requirements.
• If the storage battery is ok, the charger automatically switches to
the quick-charge mode. This is indicated individually for each
charging compartment by
red light
of the charging status LED
and by the bar display running upwards. After each full run of the
bar display, it stops for several seconds to indicate the current
discharging status of the storage battery. During the charging
process, „CHARGING" is indicated on the LC display.
• After the storage battery has been fully charged, the charger
automatically switches the respective channel to trickle charge.
This is indicated by
green light
of the charging status LED. When
all inserted storage batteries are fully charged, the LC display
indicates „FULL". After the trickle charge process, the storage
batteries do not have to be removed from the charger. Overcharge
of the storage batteries is prevented by means of the Minus Delta
U cutoff, the safety timer and the trickle charge function! The
integrated excess temperature cutoff prevents overheating of the
storage batteries.
Refresh / Discharge function
This function resets the „accumulation" of the storage batteries by
means of discharging. This is recommended, if your storage batteries
do not work properly any longer. It is particularly recommended for
NiCd storage batteries in order to prevent the memory effect. To
activate the discharge function, proceed as follows:
• After having inserted the storage batteries into the charger (see

partout où l'on vend des piles/accus !
Mode d’emploi
Alimentation en courant
Déterminez l'alimentation en courant souhaitée. Vous pouvez choisir
soit un adaptateur secteur pour prises de courant 100 - 240 VAC soit
un câble adaptateur 12V pour allume-cigare dans une caravane, un
véhicule automobile ou similaire.
Adaptateur secteur :
Pour alimenter le UFC-5 LCD en courant à
l'aide d'un adaptateur secteur, branchez ce dernier dans une prise de
courant (100 -240 VAC/50-60Hz) .
Câble adaptateur 12 V :
Branchez le câble adaptateur 12 V dans
l'allume-cigare. Si le UFC-5 LCD ne fonctionne pas au moyen de
l´allume cigare 12V , contrôlez le bon fonctionnement de l'allume-
cigare et le fusible du connecteur (2 A à action instantannée)
Introduisez la fiche femelle de l'adaptateur secteur ou du câble
adaptateur 12 V dans la douille d'entrée DC sur la face supérieure du
chargeur.
Recharge d'accus
• Insérez les accus à recharger dans le chargeur.
des accus doit être dirigé vers les diodes LED du chargeur.
• Vu que chaque compartiment de recharge est muni d'une
surveillance individuelle, il est possible de recharger
