10. Button controls/functions
Button Description
Power/AUTO OFF
1. Press to switch ON.
2. Press to enable/disable AUTO OFF. will show if auto off is enabled.
3. Press and hold to switch OFF.
Press repeatedly to cycle the laser ON → blinking → OFF.
will be constant if the laser is on, and blinks if the laser is blinking.
Backlight
Press to switch the backlight ON or OFF. The backlight will automatically switch
off after 2 minutes of no activity.
Zero the meter
Press and hold until the display shows a flashing “CLR”.
Press to switch between units when measuring optical power.
Relative power “dB”/absolute power “dBm”.
Press repeatedly to cycle through 8 calibrated laser wavelengths (nm):
850, 980,1300, 1310, 1490,1550, 1625, 1650

Self-calibration
1. Press both buttons at the same time to enter self-calibration. “CAL” will
show on the display.
- Press LIGHT to increase by 0.05 dB.
- Press dB to decrease by 0.05 dB.
2. Press the power button to save and exit.
Press both buttons at the same time to exit calibration without saving.

Restore all settings to factory defaults.
1. Press both buttons at the same time.
2. All LCD segments will show, then the screen will return to normal when the
reset is complete.
