10. Master/slave operation
In order to achieve higher output currents, up to 30 LSP-1362 laboratory power supplies can
be connected in parallel via master/slave control. In that case, all laboratory power supplies are
controlled via the master device. The current applied to the consumer is the sum of the currents
provided by the individual laboratory power supplies. The voltage is the same throughout the
circuit and corresponds to the setpoint set on the ‘master’ device.
a) Preparing the devices
To prepare the devices for master/slave operation, each device must be assigned its own ID:
• Master device: ID=0
• 1. Slave device: ID=1
• 2. Slave device: ID=2; etc.
To assign an ID to a device, proceed as follows:
1. Press and hold the menu button to go to menu mode.
