TROUBLESHOOTING

When Something lsn' Working

DANGER! Risk of injury! 

Improperly performed repairs can lead to the device not functioning safely. This can 

endanger yourself and the environme

nt.

Problem

Possible Cause

Possible Solution

• Motor does not start

• Poor results

• Unit not plugged in.

• Plug in the unit.

• No electricity.

• Check pover supply.

• Defective cable.

• Check cable. Repair or replace if

   required.

• Drive belt is worn or damaged.

• Replace the drive belt.

• Auger is worn or damaged.

• Replace the rubber plates on auger.

  Ensure the screws and nuts are 

  properly tightened.

• Discharge chute is blocked.

• Switch off the snow thrower and clean 

  the discharge chute.

• Abnormal vibrations

• Drive belt is worn or damaged.

• Replace the drive belt.

• Motor shuts off during 

  operation

• Auger is worn or damaged.

• Replace the rubber plates on the 

  auger. Ensure the screws and nuts 

  are properly tightened.

• Scraper blade is worn or 

  damaged.

• Replace the scraper blade. Ensure 

  the screws are properly tightened.

• Current is too high

• Restart the snow thrower after 1 to 3 

  minutes.
