Service interval, adapting data when changing the instrument panel

When changing the instrument panel the actual service interval data readings for

Oil service (OEL (OIL)), distance travelled in km

Inspection service (INSP), distance travelled in km

and

Inspection service (INSP), time in days

must be transferred to the vehicles new instrument panel. 

-

The data must be read off before exchanging the defective instrument panel.

 

Notes:

If the data cannot be read off (defective instrument panel) the data from the vehicle 
service schedule must be entered. 

- Connect scan tool VAG 1551, select operating mode 1 "Rapid data transfer", switch 

on ignition and enter address word 17 "Instrument panel".
