As for PG selection, here again the fields which select the range of bars within which the
modification is to be made must not be identical if the modification is to be effective. If the two
values are the same the display will show the symbols

for the Bank Select fields, indicating
that no modification will be made to the messages concerned.
As for the previous video page (which can be displayed by pressing the [PREV.] key), pressing
the [ENTER] key confirms the modifications, while if the [ESC] key is pressed they will be
aborted. In both cases, the display will return to the EDIT TRACK menu. Press the [PLAY]
button to use the temporary play function.
9.2.2 EDIT TRACK – VOLUME & PAN
Another EDIT TRACK menu function is VOL & PAN, used to adjust the volume level and the
distribution of the signal across the stereophonic panorama for each track. This is done
using Control Changes 7 (Main Volume) and 10 (PAN).
CAUTION!
ü
At the end of the modification range (from bar to bar) the Genius will restore the
original Program Change value.
ü
The first bars of SMF backings often contain system exclusive Reset codes, which
might annul the Program Change modifications; in this case, the modification range
must be set to start from bar 2.
