Issuing TTY commands
Your unit can be configured through the menus, without the need to issue any TTY
commands. However, access to some very new or specialist settings may only be
possible through TTY commands.
You can interface with a unit using a terminal emulator program such as HyperTerminal,
either by direct commands or script files.
Units are distinguished in the command format by preceding the command with the
node name of the unit being addressed.
Terminal mode will operate over a serial interface at 9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity
and 1 stop bit.
The TTY interface outputs data in TTYSCRIPT mode, in which the output syntax matches
the input syntax, which allows the output to be re-used as input data — possibly to
another unit.
Typing

Banner page on M&C interface
starts TTY mode.
A message is displayed on the serial terminal as shown below:

Commands can be typed in TTY mode at the '>' prompt.
TTY mode provides a text based method of accessing the parameters used to configure
the unit.
