Spill Enhance
The
Spill Enhance
control is used to boost color and brighness contrast for foreground details and semi-transparent objects such
as hair strands, glasses, reflections, shadows, etc. In rare cases when a color similar to the
Back Color
needs to be preserved,
spill enhance should be set to zero.
Examples
(1) Composite results show a glass teapot with and without the the
Spill Enhance
(2) Composite results demonstrate how the
Spill Enhance
corrects hair color without changing the skin tone
(use
Spill Suppression
instead if both face and hair are affected by the
Back Color
)
Example. Brightness enhancement with the spill enhance control

but looks a bit dull

Vivid
The
Vivid
control can be turned on to further enhance the colors that was altered by the
Back Color
spill. In rare cases when a
color similar to the
Back Color
needs to be preserved,
Vivid
should be turned off.
