The Berry BM2000A is an optional pulse oximeter device
that measures blood oxygen saturation (%SpO
2
) and
uploads readings automatically using Bluetooth. The
device is worn on the wrist and uses a separate fingertip
sensor.
Your care team may direct you to wear the Berry
BM2000A continuously (all day and/or all night) during
the monitoring period or may ask that you take individual
measurements on a regular schedule (for example, one
or more times per day).

Operator’s Manual
for basic
instructions on setting up the device, usage instructions,
and error messages.
Note:
Monitor battery life and replace batteries as
necessary.
1. Set Up and Confirm Bluetooth is ON

Operator’s Manual
for
complete instructions. See figure to the right.
a.
Plug the sensor cable into the device. Use the wrist
strap to apply the device to the wrist. Insert a finger
into the sensor.
b.
Press the
ON/OFF
button once to power-on the
device. If the finger is inserted into the sensor
correctly, the device will begin to display %SpO
2
.
c.
Operate the device as follows:
–
Tap the
ON/OFF
button to access the menu
screen. Tap the
ON/OFF
button again to move
between options. Long-press the
ON/OFF
button
to select an option or to change its value.
–
Ensure Bluetooth is ON using the menu.
–
To power-off the device, press and hold the ON/
OFF
button until it displays “bye bye”.
d. After confirming operation, continue to the next step
to take a reading.
2. Take a Reading in VistaPoint
See figure on the next page.
a. Apply the Berry BM2000 to the wrist and finger.
Power-on as described above.
b.
Tap

in the Oxygen Saturation tile
(or
Take a Measurement
on VistaPhone and then

).
c.
Tap
Use Bluetooth
and then tap
Pair New
.
d.
Tap

as the model.
