NSTALLATION
To set RS485 termination see section 3.1, RS485 Termination.
To install the pan/tilt assembly see section 3.2, Installing the Pan/Tilt Assembly.
3.1 RS485 T
ERMINATION
See Figure 45 and perform the following.
1) Locate the red, sliding termination switch on the PC board at the top of the housing.
2) If the RS485 control cable connected to the PowerDome does not loop out to another unit (i.e., it is
the final receiver location) or you are connecting a VPD-ALM16 alarm module to a UTC controlled
dome, place the switch in the ON position.
3) Apply 24 VAC power to the housing. The housing’s red LED power indicator lamp should illuminate. It
is located on the underside of the PTZ bracket.

This section gives detailed procedures for installing the PowerDome’s motorized pan/tilt
assembly. Installation involves securing the pan/tilt assembly to the upper housing and setting the
receiver’s DIP switch.
