3) Prepare the mounting holes appropriately for the type of surface (concrete, wood, etc.) and
fasteners used.
Note: Mounting fasteners are not included.
CAUTION:
The hardware and procedure used to secure the unit must enable it to support at least 16 kg (35 lb).
See Figure 29.
4) If necessary, drill a cable pass-through hole within the outline of the cable access opening on the
mounting surface.
To mount the unit see Figure 28 and perform the following.
1) Securely mount the unit to the wall with the appropriate fasteners. Seal all mounting holes so that
no moisture can leak into the mounting surface.

2) Pull the video, 24 VAC, and RS485 cables from inside the mounting surface through the cable pass-
through hole.
3) Attach the dome housing to the end of the safety chain as shown
in Figure 30.

4) Cut the safety chain quick tie so the housing hangs freely from the
mount.
5) Feed the cables from the dome housing down through the mount
to the cable access opening.
6) Secure the housing to the mount using the three 10-32x3/8 screws
provided.
